On the occasion of the visit of Tami Harrington and her daughter Zoe from Phoenix, Arizona, a tribute ceremony was held in memory of the crew of Boeing B-17 #42-31325 of the 452nd Bomb. Group, aboard which 2nd Lt. Abraham W. Rosenthal, their grandfather and great-grandfather, lost his life on February 8, 1944.

2nd Lt. Abraham W. Rosenthal
Welcomed by Mr. Jean-Luc Guyon, mayor of the village, the entire audience, including two flag bearers of the Souvenir Français, gathered at the memorial located in the heart of the village where the ten names of the crew members are engraved.
The story of the mission and the fate of the ten crew members were recalled before wreaths were laid at the foot of the memorial. A minute of silence was observed, followed by the American and French national anthems.
This tribute continued with a friendly drink offered by Mr. and Mrs. Guyon.
This beautiful day ended with a visit to the crash site in the middle of the fields. As the field had not yet been harvested, it was unfortunately impossible to find any debris from the Flying Fortress. But the most important thing for Tami and Zoé was to be, with great emotion, at the very spot where their grandfather and great-grandfather had lost his life.
